Disneyland

As mentioned before, Jared and Jaden's Birthday gift was a trip to Disneyland. Last week we went to Disneyland with John's sister Lisa and family. We had such a GREAT time. We went up the night before and stayed at the Holiday Inn. We got there in time to eat dinner and hang out at the pool.

We got up early the next morning and headed to Disneyland. We were able to walk there from our hotel. Grandma and Papa were nice to take Jackson so he wasn't there with us. We missed him, but I CAN'T imagine doing Disneyland with a baby. Especially being there from open to close. We got there before it opened and it was quite exiciting racing to our first ride with music blaring all over the park. We were able to ride everything we wanted to and didn't stand in any line longer than 10 minutes or so with the exception of the Finding Nemo ride, which was a 40 minute wait. The kids insisited we go on it. I can't imagine that it was worth it to wait 2-4 hours for that ride when it came out a year ago. Adam and Lisa's kids were fighting the stomach flu but they were troopers. Never complaining, going on every ride!!!! It made for lots of bathroom trips though.

Jacey wanted to go on every ride with Emma and Emma was so sweet to her little cousin. I'm sure she would've rather ridden more rides with the older kids.

The next day we got to sleep in a little and went to California Adventure. We took advantage of the Southern California 2fer special- 2 days for the price of 1. After not making it to the Princess Faire with Jacey the day before, we made sure we caught Playhouse Disney Live first thing. The rest of the group went on the water ride.

I didn't take as many pictures this day. We went on every ride and Jared impressed me by riding California Screamin- the roller coaster- twice! We had a great time and can't wait to do it again in 5 years!!!

Happy 6th Birthday Jaden

Jaden celebrated his sixth birthday! He had two celebrations. The first one was at Rosemary's with his "Utah cousins" and Grandpa and Grandma Hart. We also celebrated at Grandma and Papa Johnson's house. We didn't get any pictures of him at school on his birthday. Jaden was adament that we DO NOT come to his school to bring treats. He wanted the treats, just not us. So after much conversation, we let him take Ding Dongs in the morning and we didn't come. How old is this kid anyway? A trip to Disneyland was his present from us, but he did get to go shopping with Grandma and Papa. That's what this 6 year old wanted for his birthday. Not toys, not video games, but clothes and shoes!!!!! Funny kid!

School Carnival Time

We had our school carnival last weekend. The kids had fun. If you call blowing 70 tickets in an hour fun, then I guess we did too. Gotta love school carnivals. We've gone to 4 school carnivals with 10 more to go. That's 14 YEARS!!! of school carnivals.

Jared enjoyed the climbing wall. He made it to the top twice. He wants to take climbing lessons now.

Jaden tried and tried to climb and didn't want to give up. I think when his legs grow a little longer, he be able to make it.

I love how Jacey is looking at her brothers. She adores them and looks up to them.

It was a Hollywood-themed Carnival. There were lots of movie displays.

Happy Birthday Jared!

Today was Jared's 9th Birthday. We had three celebrations. First we had a day early party at Grandma and Papa's house. Jared got a new Wii game and some money. Can you feel the excitement?

Grandma always gets the other kids some kind of present when it is someone else's birthday. Nice Grandma. Spoiled Kids! For Jared's Birthday, they got books.

The next day, on Jared's real Birthday, we went to his class to share some treats. He requested ding dongs and water. I don't think it could have been any easier for me!!
